  Leadership and Management Development

We offer our services to leaders of all stripes, including executives, department heads, managers, board members, small business owners, entrepreneurs, and professionals, as well as groups ranging from partners and executive teams to employee teams.

Executive Coaching for Individuals and Management Teams

Bruce has been helpful to me in working with our management team -- he helped us get perspective and make important changes. After we addressed some old, bad habits and started using stronger listening and facilitation styles, communication with every level of our organization improved. Personally, I feel more confident in our skills as individual managers and as a team. Bruce also helped us figure out how to bring down the tensions between people and actually talk to each other in ways that work so we can get more done but with less stress. I would recommend him -- he is GREAT!

Leaders in businesses of all sizes may seek to improve their performance by refining or updating specific leadership skills. We have prepared a number of short outlines and highly interactive presentations to facilitate development in specific skills, which we can introduce upon request.

Dedicated leaders frequently desire to pass down their leadership knowledge to support the future of their organizations. We can help such leaders plan and execute a repeatable transfer of knowledge so that the people who learn from them can in turn teach others.

Examples of topics we have worked on with our clients are listed in detail at our Management and Leadership Development Topics page.

Leadership Facilitation

We design and lead, and help our clients design and lead, team discussions which serve important leadership objectives.

One such discussion increases motivation by using "appreciative inquiry," stories to shift a team's focus from complaints to successes. Another helps leaders receive, and grow from, emotionally loaded feedback concerning topics such as team members' views of them and their leadership, expectations concerning team performance and attitude, and the quality of communication between leader, team, and others.

A series of discussions of leadership topics can be coordinated with brief introductory presentations, "homework", and recaps of what worked and what didn't.

We also facilitate meetings of leadership teams such as partnerships to reduce or resolve friction and improve focus and momentum.

Scheduling

Scheduling is highly flexible. Clients often choose a series of short (50-90 minute) weekly, bi-monthly, or monthly sessions.
